Professional Development Leadership Series
Accepts Applications
Applications are being accepted for the Professional Development
Leadership Series for middle managers. The series includes three
meetings of two days each that are scheduled between October 2007 and

The Series takes three avenues of approach to

work style and the importance of one’s vision as a leader
- Learning from other leaders – people with
disabilities, their families, and people who work in the system will
participate as speakers and leadership role models.

leaders can use to communicate a vision, lead to action, and
maintain momentum for change.

What past participants are saying about the
Professional Development Leadership Series:
- The Leadership Series has helped me to develop
an understanding of my style and how I can be more effective by
paying attention to that.
- It helped me change my approach from being
directive to being more participative as a leader.
- I learned that I can’t approach every
situation and every individual in the same manner. It’s important
to step back long enough to understand people’s perceptions,
experience, culture, etc.
- I was impressed with the group and the
atmosphere of learning that was created.
- The seminar was very relevant.
